Sharing learning where internet does not reach

The simple path

The main field method is deliberately simple.

This avoids depending on internet, cloud accounts, Bluetooth pairing, or complicated installation steps at the destination.

Use a quality USB stick

Do not use the cheapest unknown stick for field delivery. A bad stick can fail, corrupt files, or disappear into confusion.

• Use a known brand USB stick.
• Use USB-A plus USB-C if possible.
• Use 32 GB or larger.
• Use one MASTER stick and one WORKING stick.

The stick carries the learning. Treat it like the master copy.

Step 1 - computer to stick

1. Download or prepare the latest Jit4Everyone package on a computer.
2. Extract it if it is still in a ZIP file.
3. Confirm the folder contains STARTHERE.html.
4. Copy the complete folder to the USB stick.
5. Open the folder from the USB stick once to confirm it is there.

Do not copy only the images. Do not copy only the HTML. Copy the whole folder.

Step 2 - travel with 2 sticks

Carry two copies when possible.

• MASTER stick: kept safe and not used casually.
• WORKING stick: used for copying to phones.

If the working stick is lost or damaged, the master stick still protects the content.

Two small sticks can protect the whole trip.

Step 3 - stick to Android phone

1. Plug the USB stick into the Android phone.
2. Open the phone file manager.
3. Open the USB stick.
4. Copy the complete Jit4Everyone folder to the phone storage.
5. Open STARTHERE.html.
6. Bookmark it or add it to the home screen if the phone allows it.

Android is the recommended field device because local files, USB sticks, SD cards, and folder copying are usually easier to manage.

Step 4 - phone to phone

If another phone needs a copy, use the easiest local method available.

• Copy through the USB stick again.
• Use a USB cable if both phones support file transfer.
• Use SD card if the phones support it.
• Use Android sharing tools if available.

If a folder cannot be sent directly, compress the folder into a ZIP file, send the ZIP, then extract it on the other phone.

Updating later

Updates do not require a new phone.

1. Bring a newer copy on a USB stick.
2. Delete or rename the old Jit4Everyone folder on the phone.
3. Copy the new folder onto the phone.
4. Open STARTHERE.html to test.

Replace the whole folder. Do not mix old and new files.

Field rule

The system does not have to be perfect. It has to be understandable, repeatable, and useful where children are.

The phone is the viewing device. The USB stick is the carrier. The folder is the learning package.

Carry knowledge on a stick. Load it into a phone. Leave learning behind.
